I have the goal of eliminating fossil fuels from my life, and cooking gas is one of them. So I recently built a test solar oven. I just wanted to see if it would be possible to cook part of my meals just using the sun. No gas or electricity.
This is a very basic model, made with a cardboard box, aluminum foil and glass. I had a total of 6 meals in it. I cooked rice, vegetables and even roasted peanuts.
The performance of this oven was very low, it is necessary to implement an efficient sealing system and I intend to build a permanent one, made with wood and mirror. The one I made with very little use started to tear, it was just to test it.
But you could taste the sun in the food, the taste of energy independence. Combined with this oven, which unfortunately depends on a very sunny day to work, I am using my own solar energy generation with electric induction cookers.
In other words, I replaced liquefied petroleum gas, a fuel found in traditional kitchen cylinders, with the sun.
I dream of an energy-independent society, with the sun as its primary source of energy.
Long live renewable energy.
Long live the sun.
